The drawing on her back is
an Escher staircase
it spins up and around, going in
no particular direction

"It doesn't end up anywhere"
she says, smiling with pride
"That's the point."

I ask about why she would glorify
running in place, or chasing ones tail
or Sisyphus or
other notable wastes of time

She just laughed

Turned a complete circle
and then another half a turn,
looking back at me over her shoulder

"It's behind me , right?"
