Arabic numbers are no different in style than english numbers in terms of attaching the numbers together and pronouncing them. It is beleived that the modern english font numbers are modified old arabic text font. The invention of the zero by arabs saved europe from primitive latin numbering espicialy when dealing with large numbers in latin. The knowledge of this system was passed when arabs used to rule southern spain during the ummayad dynasty.

The numbers are as follow from zero to 10:

Sifir Wahid Ethnan Thalatha Ar'ba'ah Khamsa Sita Sab'Ah Thamanyah Tis'Ah Asharah.

to count from 11 to 19 the suffix "ashr" is attached after every number.

11 = ahad'ashr. 12 = ethna'ashr. 13 = thaltha'ashr and so on .

to count in tens the suffix "EEN" or "OON" is used as we would use "TY" in english .

30 = Thalatheen. 40 = ar'ba'een. 50 = khamseen. 60 = siteen. and so on.

to count in 100's the suffix "meyah" is attached to a number. just as we would use "hundred" in english.

300 = thalatha'meyah 400 = ar'ba'meyah and so on.

To count in 1000's the suffix "Alaf" is used.

3000 = Thalatha'alaf. 4000 = ar'ba'ah'alaf and so on.

10000 = Ashra'alaf.

100000 = meya'alf.

1000000 = malyoon.

now that we have the basic, time for advanced numbering.

wa is used to attach two nouns or verbs. it is the english equivelent to and.

32 = ethnane wa thalatheen. "2 and 30"
64 = ar'ba'ah wa siteen. "4 and 60"
128 = meyah wa thamanyah wa eshreen. " 100 and 8 and 20 "
256 = meteen wa sita wa khamseen. " 200 and 6 and 50. "
512 = khamsa'meya wa ethna'ashr. " 500 and 12. "
1024 = alf wa ar'ba'ah wa eshreen. " 1000 and 4 and 20. "
5234556 = khamsa'malyoon wa meeteen wa ar'ba'ah wa thaltheen alf wa khams'meyah wa sitah wa khamseen. 5000000 and 243000 and 500 and 6 and 50.
