WebSpeed is a web application server product produced by Progress Software Corporation. It provides an n-tiered application architecture as well as a very intuitive 4gl with native connectivity into the Progress RDBMS. Introduced in 1996, it has matured into a fully functional web application platform.

The language used for development in WebSpeed is a subset of the Progress 4gl called SpeedScript.

Although WebSpeed is proprietary software, costing a minimum of about $6000 (US dollars), there are open-source components available through an open-source initiative known as FreeFrameWork.
