A professional basketball team based in Salt Lake City which plays in the NBA Midwest Division. The Jazz name was a carry-over from the team's original home in New Orleans, where they started in 1974, and was kept when the team moved to Utah in 1979. The team is currently owned by Utah auto-dealer & business mogul Larry H. Miller and plays home games in the Delta Center arena. The team has made it to the NBA finals several times, but has never won the championship.
