It hurts!

Through life you receive different kinds of pain. Some will be emotional and some will be physical. I have reciived both as I'm sure many of you have. The thing that lingers in my mind is priority on the subject.

If you receive a form of physical pain, you will feel it for the length of time it takes to go away. Bruises usually 1 to 3 weeks depending on the type of bruise. For something like a cut or burn will be there for the rest of your life if deep enough however, the pain only lasts for a couple of days. If done by someone, this crime is punishable and the person can be charged. Emotional pain leaves much deeper scars. If something has been said or done to cause great emotional stress the scars will more than likely be there for the rest of your life along with the pain. So why is this form of pain not punishable?
