Formally known as Micki & Wes' Stork Club

Located at 2330 Telegraph Ave in beautiful downtown Oakland, between Grand Avenue and 24th Streets, is The Stork Club. A historic venue on the local Oakland punk rock scene, The Stork now books all kinds of indie rock, and even twangy country music when they can.

The interior of The Stork is divided into three public rooms (and an unused industrial-sized kitchen). The bar itself is decorated with boxes upon boxes of Barbie dolls. Some of these seem to be originals, others might be constructs. It is an amazing collection of beauty. The stage area is befestooned with christmas tree lights, tinsel, and a large plastic Santa. The backroom houses a worn pool table and a pinball machine or two that just might be still working.
