Hamell On Trial's second full-length album, released on Mercury Records in 1997. All songs by Ed Hamell, who is featured on guitars and vocals. Many assorted artists helped out on accompanying bass, drums, piano, mellotron, synthesizer, background vocals, sax, mixing, etc. Dedicated to the memory of Marty Corsett (1960-1996, commemmorated in "Red Marty") and Doug "Hog" Ward (1959-1996).
The Chord is Mightier than the Sword is currently unavailable in record stores while Hamell tries to recover the rights to it and his first album, Big as Life, from Mercury Records, you might be able to find it on eBay.
