Americans seem to consider this the most significant yearly sports event, and get glued to their TVs whenever Super Sunday rolls around. Consequently, advertisers pay exhorbitant fees to show their commercials to this vast audience. They're usually pretty good, too.

The Most Valuable Player, or MVP, of the Super Bowl is given the Pete Rozelle trophy. It was named the Pete Rozelle trophy since Super Bowl XXV (1991). Rozelle was a former NFL commissioner. Since 1967-1989, the trophy was presented by Sport magazine. Currently, the MVP is chosen by a 15-member panel made, which is made up of national pro football writers and broadcasters chosen by the NFL (80 percent) and fans voting via the internet (20 percent).
