I cannot give you jewels or gold
I cannot feed you, or quench your thirst
When you are sad or lonely
I cannot hold you, or dry your tears.

I cannot give you perfumes to make your senses swim
Nor silks to swathe your body
Nor roses and jasmine to make you smile
My voice, though tuneful in its way,
Cannot soothe you to sleep from afar

All I have are my thoughts
And how I express them
So, I craft them, as best I can.
