A sublime musician who loves music. Johnny Marr (Born John Maher in Manchester, England on October 31, 1963) was the "other half" of The Smiths...his subtle guitar symphonies supporting Morrissey's lilting pouts and coos. After the Smiths breakup in 1987 Marr went on to work with The The and The Talking Heads...plus numerous little side projects here and there. His main effort has been with the "alternative supergroup" Electronic...the team of Bernard Sumner (of New Order) and Neil Tennant (of Pet Shop Boys).
