The HKEY_DYN_DATA key contains information about hardware devices, including Plug-and-Play. This key is placed in RAM by the OS.

There are two important subkeys:

  • Config Manager
The configuration manager subkey stores the hardware configurations for fast access.

  • PerfStats
The PerfStats subkey contains the performance statistics for the networking components installed.
