Principality of Freedonia (www.freedonia.org) is a micronation that is currently trying to obtain a physical piece of land to have sovereign rights on. They want to establish a new nation with government based on "maximum freedom for all citizens, and ultra low taxation".

Also a fictional nation in the Marx Brothers comedy Duck Soup. Their neighbor, rival, and eventual enemy, was Sylvania.
