is a branch of both cognitive psychology and neuroscience, and thereby a branch of cognitive science. It is devoted to the study of thought, with emphasis on the tools that neuroscience has provided, EEG, fMRI, etc.

Is a discipline which attempts to reconcile the traditional differences between psychologists and neurologists. Cognitive neuroscience looks at the underlying neurological mechanisms involved in cognition - e.g. reading, vision, speech, object recognition. It often draws heavily from neuropsychology.
