Chatsubo was the name of the
bar in
science fiction cult classic '
Neuromancer' by
William Gibson.
It is sometimes referred to as simply the 'chat', and has spawned several usenet cyberpunk hangouts.
It is also the name of a former web design firm in Eastern Canada. Working at Chatsubo, I came to the conclusion that most old school webmasters are indeed cyberpunks who read far too many outlandish science fiction novels.
