The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) is a British anti-nuclear group formed in 1958, advocating unilateral disarmament for Britain. They were famous for a run of mass non-violent direct action protests in the Sixties, when the philosopher Bertrand Russell (aged 89) was arrested - and also for the Greenham women's peace camp in the Eighties.
