Perhaps the greatest made for TV movie ever, this movie, which starred James Caan as Brian Piccolo and Billy Dee Williams as Gale Sayers. It examines the friendship of two players, one black, one white, during the racially charged sixties, and despite their competition for the same position on the Chicago Bears football team. This is a touching story dealing with the injury suffered by Gale Sayers, and the cancer which claimed the life of Piccolo.
