A city representing the centre of the Netherlands (i.e. it's not actually the centre, but saying so attracts tourists).

In the middle ages, Amersfoort was Holland's beer brewing capital with about 350 breweries.

Today it houses approximately 125,000 people in over 50,000 houses.
