The Aleuts are a tribe of Native Americans who inhabit several islands off the coast of Alaska and Canada. The Aleuts developed a type of surfing using kayaks to surf from one island to the next. They have also based a large amount of their culture on their ability to harpoon, which they use to kill animals in order to survive themselves by making food, clothing and other items out of the creature.
