Having received email forwards of the contents of the our sensei node and so many other kind and generous emails, I could not do less than respond. I am composing this node in a word processor so that it can just be pasted into an e2 node when I am able to obtain access. I hope that it is not too rambling; however I notice that my thoughts and speech are often less connected than I would wish.

I would like to thank my many friends on e2 for all of their kind words, thoughts, and intentions. There are so many of you that I could not mention you all without it simply being a list of hundreds of users. But I cannot refrain from mentioning in particular: My very dear friend wharfinger. Wharf is a very funny and lucid writer who has shown great care for the project of everything2 and with whom I have shared many interesting conversations (even when he was pretending to be someone else). And of course dannye who was so very helpful to me immediately after dem bones "consecrated" me with editorial…

Hear o dem bones of this new day within the nodegel.

The gel shimmies and it shakes. It reels and it shines. If the nodegel had a surface other than the infinite reflections that refract in the view of the dorsal eyestalks of those condemned to be E2 godusergroup entities it would no doubt be tsunamied with heaving crests of gel waves. Why? I don't really know but then my fever has not gone down for weeks so that probably has something to do with it. You really should try this pneumonia and abcess in the lungs thing, bones. You might like it. And it's perfectly legal.

I am looking areound trying to do something editorial and useful. I deleted CAPTAIN NEMO's defunct homenode to fulfill sockpuppet's request in yesterday's log.

I'll swim around a bit more and see what I can do.

As a consequence I am mostly inactive right now. Even on E2. My apologies to all for not being able to contribute much to the good of the nodegel right now.

I have deleted a few things over the past few days but I cannot remember what, so...

Hear o dem bones, I have just gotten home, am extremely timezoned, have logged in briefly to find this msg from you wedged between three of my dorsal eyestalks: "I just pray that Jesus watches over your heathenous soul as you take flight so near to His Heaven." Um. Thanks.

I have no idea what has transpired in the nodegel, so I will read from the gel weather ticker.

The freegel is at 22 degrees C and 78% humidity. There is a chance of nodeshells with the gel becoming cloudy until mid-afternoon. An editorial front is expected to sweep away the clouds leaving the gel a sparkling golden.

Congratulations and condolences to Fruan on his editorial cilia. His head is becoming smaller already.

Q. Hey! If Everything is Everything why do my nodes about my buddy's nicknames and dead budgies get killed or at least down-voted? What kind of bullshit is this?
A. This kind. Everything2 is not about "everything". It is an implementation of the Everything core code, a way of getting everything on a site to interact with other things on the site in interesting ways. Or at least ways that are interesting to the owners of the code and the site.
