Magazine published weekly, aimed at audiences ranging from laymen to career scientists. Covers the latest findings in a 'popular' format; i.e. not too many details, uses simple words to explain everything. Contains humour, and an 'answer the reader's questions' section which generally makes for interesting reading. ("Why is defecation relaxing? Why are yawns catching? Why do lasers paint dark lines and spots on 'glow-in-the-dark' material? ") Makes for easy, informative reading; just like education should be. May be found at many public libraries, or online at www.newscientist.com (recommended).
