The Lucy Stone League was originally founded in the United States in 1921 with goals that included those of the current league, but also aimed at more general feminist goals, many of which are now the objectives of the National Organization for Women. The League disbanded, was re-born in the 1950's, but then expired again. It was rejuvenated in November 1997, and plans to remain in operation until its
goals are achieved. |
