So you've been looking for an integrated IRC/Everything client? Or, time for a famous #everything quote:
"What, you think it'd be fun to make a whole new IRC client just for that one feature? You sick bastard." -Dyverge

No need to. Just use XChat (under Linux or your favorite flavor of Unix) and download my patch from

http://pikka.net/code/xchat-1.4.2-e2-patch.gz
patch the sources:
gunzip -c xchat-1.4.2-e2-patch.gz | patch -p1
recompile and there you go!

Click the small < sign at the right of the input line; click the new button called E2; by magic, things surrounded by [brackets] will start behaving almost like URLs, except that they link to Everything.

Enjoy.
