Once there was a girl who lived in a world where time went too fast. Maybe she felt everything was passing too quickly, but she never let on. There was too much else to do and too many other things to keep track of. She was sort of jumbled up inside but strong for others, this was her nature.
One night she wished on a falling star, and the star heard her wish. It was worried she was too much like itself, burning bright but falling too quickly. So it granted her wish.
Time came to a gentle stop that evening. Her steps walked mountain ranges and she stayed in the jungle for ages to learn all of its wonders by heart. Her swims spanned oceans, and finally she slid down the sunrise into her bed as time started to wind back up again. Snuggled safely under the covers she watched the sun come up on a world that was once again her own. |
