Stortroopers were (and possibly still are somewhere) a proprietary avatar system developed by a firm called stor, at www.stor.co.uk
The system comprised a java applet that presented you with a bare cartoon skeleton, which you could dress up with over a hundred skin, clothing, footwear, hair and accessory options.
My friends and I began creating our own likenesses, and I made a website directory for us, but only a few months after we had begun the stortrooper site disappeared.
Funnily enough, the system was rather like the one now found at friends reunited. |
