A shopping list is list of things to pick up while you are at the store. It guides you in your quest to get the things either you or your loved one needs in order to eat or complete a task. With this list in hand, you know what you need to get, and will also be able to figure out where you need to go in order to fulfill the items on the list. On the other hand, your list can turn into a nightmare, depending on how vague the item descriptions are. If you had the following list:
Bread and eggs in the example are rather simple, as any household usually has a regular kind of bread and
eggs they get. The beef entry, however, is a bit vague, as there are many cuts of beef to choose from.
The choice of cut or style depends on the meal being made, so if you are out shopping and have no idea what
your loved one wants to cook (assuming he or she is cooking), then you could very well pick up the wrong
cut and be back on your way to the store once again. This concept could be better illustrated using a
home improvement list, but the idea is generally the same.
As shown above, a good shopping list will make for an easier time when you are out getting the items. Generally, when I make one of these lists, I make sure to be clear about things and go over things with everyone in the house, to make sure nothing is missed. I mean, who wants to go to the store twice?
