The Truth doesn't always like you. It is not always a gossamer blanket of light and peace. Sometimes the Truth is a bloody thorn lodged in your spine.

Sometimes the truth is that you haven't done much, that you didn't try hard enough, that your loved one sucks ass, that your life has been meaningless to the ones who meant most to you. Sometimes the truth is that it was always you and you were always too cowardly to take the cross. Sometimes the truth is that there was never anyone to blame. Sometimes the truth is that your god was just your scapegoat, and now that you need a real god, there isn't one. Sometimes the truth is that you really do get what you deserve, and the worst part is that you really do deserve this.
