A very entertaining column by Chuck Shepherd that appears weekly in a variety of newpapers (usually free city papers and student publications) around the country (possibly the world?). Specializes in reporting strange and bizzare (but true) news stories from around the globe.

A good example of a typical News of the Weird story (from last week's installment) is:

"A 62-year-old woman thought a stranger punched her in the neck, but it was a stabbing, and the 4-inch knife remained in her neck for 40 minutes while she grocery-shopped before a passerby pointed it out to her (Darby Township, PA)."
