The opposite of Classical.

Modern Science is defined as the dawn of the quantum age. Where Classical Newtonian Mechanics are no longer an adequate model for observed phenomenon, and more theoretical models are required to explain what is observed on an atomic scale or spectrum.

Modern Lethe

The weariness I feel cannot be dulled
By setting my attentions on a book
Though briefly worries calm into a lull
Distractions end, and I no longer brook
These troubled times. No tolerance have I
For racing minds, for all the hustle now
Expected in this rat-race gone awry.
This hectic life I hereby disavow.
The weariness I feel... hey, what is that?
That show looks pretty cool. I guess I'll sit
And watch it for a while, sure, what the hell.
I should watch more TV when I'm upset
I think I had a problem, I forget
I guess it doesn't matter now, oh well.

The results of an english class...
...and it's sad that no one actually understood its meaning.
Some people thought it was pro-television, and anti-reading.
