high gravity day

This is an excuse used by rock climbers to explain why they did poorly out on the rock. It is similar to, but more humorous than excuses such as "my shoes were too tight" and "I forgot my chalk bag."

Examples:

Climber #1: "Dude, why didn't you stick that dyno?"
Climber #2: "High gravity day."

Climber #1: "Man, I've never seen you grease off a nubbin so easily! That thing was a jug!"
Climber #2: "High gravity day."
