Grandstand were an English computer manufacurer. They made an educational computer called "My Frist Computer" that was a very impressive toy.

They have also made a lot of consoles and handheld Nintendo-like toys. The Grandstand consoles are a cult item now. The consept was OEM, so the Grandstand consoles looked a lot like each other, and like some other manufacturers too.
The Grandstand corp. went bust in the late eighties, as far as I know.

The good old Grandstand learned me how to spell different words in English and gave me a head start in school.
