Han Solo, a character from Star Wars, refers to Lando Calrissian as a "pirate." Because of Han's reputation as a gambler, smuggler, and ne'er-do-well, we may assume (although not conclusively) that Lando, because of the company he keeps, and the fact that he owns a spaceship, is also a cosmic pirate. Star Wars was also a computer game, as well as a pasta and a set of action figures. Other cosmic pirates of note include the Ferengi. Steve Miller is actually not a "cosmic pirate," but some people call him the space cowboy.
