A gauge theory, where the gauge group is noncommutative. quantum chromodynamics and the electroweak theory are Yang-Mills theories. Noncommutativity of the gauge group leads to nonlinearity, so solutions of Yang-Mills theory can be more complicated than with Maxwell's equations.
