Young Women's Christian Association
The counterpart of the YMCA the YWCA too is worldwide and is specific for helping females young and old.
The history of the YWCA began in 1858 in New York City and has upheld it's mission while spanning worldwide:
Empower women and
girls and to
eliminate racism.
YWCA has sponsored daycare for working moms, entertainment facilities, and has also sponsored several shelters across the world for homeless females and families. They are also a good opportunity for anyone looking to volunteer time to (I see the guys jumping now) a worth while organization.
