As with "We don't need no education", this lyric is a double negative. The reference to catch here, is that we don't need others controlling our thoughts, but we must be masters of our own thoughts! You are the only one who must be in absolute control of your own soul, your very being and identity. Unfortunately, our school system would prefer that we all think exactly like they do. Conformism at work. Nothing more than drones of a miserably failing society. If you don't have control your own thoughts, then all in all, you're just another brick in the wall! |
