Roman mythology

Also spelled Vediovis. A Roman god of healing, sometimes associated with the Greek god of medicine Asclepius. He is usually shown holding arrows or lightning bolts, and also normally appears with a goat. During spring, people would sacrifice goats to Veiovis to ward off disease and plague.
