Tropical Shower - poem

A lazy Sunday morning,
it is noon, the sun hides -
high beyond the gloomy grey clouds
as they wash the guilt away.

Isolated by the droning rain
I brew myself some coffee -
impregnate the house with it;
it is invigorating, that scent.

The couch is soft, welcoming.
I reach across it, and gaze.
Glistening, fertile grass and
those water-glazed twin statues -

As you exit the shower.
