Toonces was The Cat Who Could Drive A Car, the puppet star of a recurring Saturday Night Live skit in the late 80s and early 90s. Like so many skits in on SNL, it was a one note joke, and it was beat into the ground again and again. It usually went like this: a couple discusses reservations about having their cat drive the car. See, he drives, but not well. They finally get in the car, and everything seems fine, until - "TOONCES, LOOK OUT!" Cut to stock footage of a car going off of a cliff.

You'd think people would stop getting in the car with that damn cat.
