This book is appropriate for speech pathologists as well as any health care provider entrusted with the care of infants and children. Although not written for lactation consultants and not covering infancy per se, the book is nevertheless valuable for LCs in illustrating long term outcomes of uncorrected ankyloglossia. Tongue-tie has a marked negative effect on the ability of the infant to latch onto and to extract milk from the breast.
