There's nothing like the sound of snowpants

When you're a 10 year old kid and school is closed

And you're running back to the top of the neighborhood hill

And your best friend nails you with a snowball right in the middle of your back

But you can barely feel it because of the layers and layers of clothes

You can barely feel anything except the numbness of cold on your cheeks

And the sense of dizzy anticipation as you haul your sled back to the top

And get ready for the next ride down

All you can hear is

Those snowpants.
