Sega's 1997 home PC version of the Sega Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog megaseller, Sonic and Knuckles. Actually, the game allowed you to play Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic and Knuckles, or Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is not an available option, and neither is a stand-alone version of Blue Sphere. The package also included the Sonic Screensaver.

The game featured slightly different music from its Sega Genesis counterpart and also relied on save states to mark your progress. However, with the right tools you could hack the saves to give your character lots of lives, Chaos Emeralds, or tweak other variables in the game.

This game is one of Sega's four Sonic the Hedgehog PC versions, along with Sonic CD, Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic R.
