Edited by Eric Raymond, The New Hacker's Dictionary provides a lay person --- or a bored hacker --- with a guide to the jargon used by geeks and hackers. Originally adapted from the jargon file, TNHD is now available online again, completing the circle.

Actually, I think this refers to the old Jargon File written by 70s-era hackers, before ESR et al came in and edited. Thus, the current Jargon File is known as The New Hacker's Dictionary, and more modern and UNIX-centric.
