A long-running CBC television "adventure/comedy" about a group of British Columbia boaters in Gibson's Landing who go looking for mislaid logs and end up finding adventure (1972-1989). The characters included

• Nick Adonidas (Bruno Gerussi), a hard working Greek immigrant
• Relic (Robert Clothier), a dastardly villian who likes ketchup on his eggs
• Molly (Rae Brown), who ran the coffee shop
• Constable John Constable (Jackson Davies), the strong arm of the law
• Jesse (Pat John), Nick's Man Friday

The Beachcombers is an example of Canadian Content, and has been exported worldwide and is still on the air in some areas.
