The rat in E.B. White's novel Charlotte's Web, voice-acted in the animated motion picture by Paul Lynde. A reluctant hero of sorts, it was Templeton who scrounged various inspirational literature for Charlotte in her web-writing period, and who carried her egg sac to a safe place when Charlotte died.

Templeton: (muffled) "Sticks like taffy!"

Recurrent character in the Suikoden game series. When recruited, he will give you a most helpful map of your continent to check during your travels. He will also set up shop at your home castle. In Suikoden I, the castle's map is merely slapped upon a wall. However, in Suikoden II, Templeton's chart reveals more useful information like a city/region's classification, brief guide and its resources, when applicable. Templeton's biggest complaint is that due to various war-related destruction, his maps are difficult to keep current.
