| Remote outer-rim world, this desert planet is one of the key systems in what is known as "Hutt-space". The criminal overlord Jabba the Hutt presides over all illicit activites on the planet. Tatooine is home to a myrid of life forms, although many have been imported from off-world by the pirates and traders that pass through. Most people make their living in criminal activites, or supporting those individuals by running cantinas, junkyards and docks, aside form that there are the many moisture farmers who collect water from the apmosphere and use it to hydroponicly grow what little food they can. Most food on Tatooine is imported from other systems. Many great heros of the Rebel alliance are from (or have made thier home on) Tatooine, including Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Biggs Darklighter. |
