  These are Star Wars sets made of Technic Lego. So far, all droids.
  • 8000 - Pit Droid (217 pieces)
  • 8001 - Battle Droid (328 pieces. Also instructions for an AT-ST)
  • 8002 - Destroyer Droid (553 pieces. Also Instructions for an AAT)
  • 8007 - C-3PO (339 pieces. Breaks apart when shot by the...)
  • 8008 - Stormtrooper (361 pieces. Has firing gun. Also orange Shoulder-Pad to make into Tatooine-style 'Sand Trooper').

• Star Wars Mindstorms Sets:
  These sets contain the Microscout computer brick. Not as powerful as the RCX, but still fun
  • 9748 - Droid Developer Kit (652 pieces - famously builds an R2-D2 amongst others)
  • 9754 - Dark Side Developer Kit (578 pieces - famously builds an AT-AT amongst others)

Star wars episode 1

While I agree with Tallroo that the star wars classic lego is much more interesting than the episode 1 variety, there are still some great sets in this range. One of my personal favourites is the Naboo fighter, which is one of the nicest lego sets I've ever seen, despite having Anakin Skywalker in it. One of the great things about the range as a whole is the sheer volume of battle droid minifigs you get if you have the whole set. There are 20 in all, allowing you to recreate the battle from the end of the movie but with the ending it should have had...

These are all the episode 1 sets available as at November 2001, excluding the Lego Technic ones Tallroo lists above:

• 7101 - Lightsaber duel (Qui-gonn and Darth Maul minifigs, Maul's speeder and a Vaporator)
• 7111 - Droid fighter (an unusual set - no minifigs!)
• 7115 - Gungan patrol (Jar Jar and another gungan on two riding beasties)
• 7121 - Naboo swamp (2 battle droids on STAP's, Jar Jar and Qui-gon minifigs and some swamp scenery)
• 7124 - Flash speeder (small speeder with a Naboo security trooper)
• 7126 - Battle Droid carrier (a small carrier with 7 battle droids, which I can't remember seeing in the film)
• 7131 - Anakin's Podracer (almost identical to the one in the Mos Espa podrace set, with Anakin and Padmé minifigs and a pit droid)
• 7141 - Naboo starfighter (with Anakin, R2-D2, 2 battle droids and a weird thing on wheels)
• 7151 - Sith Infiltrator (Darth Maul's ship, with his minifig and speeder)
• 7155 - Trade Federation AAT (battle tank with 2 battle droids - one of the best toys in the range)
• 7159 - Pod bucket (a Lego Basic style bucket of podracer bits. Apparently no longer available.)
• 7161 - Gungan sub (with Qui-gon, Obi-wan and Jar Jar minifigs)
• 7171 - Mos Espa podrace (3 Podracers, and 3 pit droids, Padmé Naberrie, Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, Qui-Gon Jinn, Jar Jar Binks, Sebulba and Gasgano minifigs.)
• 7184 - Trade Federation MTT (big troop carrier plus 7 battle droids)
