Speed dialing is the function of a telephone wherein one has to dial the intended number to save it into the telephone, so that all that is required to dial the number is the press of one or usually two buttons. Speed dialing is also often known as Memory Dialing, in that the telephone holds the number in its memory, thus making dialing more expedient.
