| It's interesting that after that forced attempt to Philly-ize himself into some sort of "plastic soul" man (circa Young Americans -- and all he got was that lousy t-shirt and Carlos Alomar), Bowie probably had his funkiest moments to date with "Sound and Vision", and other parts of the original Side One of Low. All he had to do was go to Berlin with Eno, Iggy, and Tony Visconti instead of his suitcase-full-of-coke, and enlist Mary "Those Were the Days" Hopkin (Mrs. Visconti) to handle the "doo-doo-doo..."
