| While it was a computer game (I never saw the Nintendo version, but I was a HUGE fan of the Commodore 64 version), but before it was a computer game, it was a philosophy, a raison d'etre. Skate all day, party all night and Beastie boys' Fight for your right to party and the Prahran Bowl are my associations with that idea. Usually all three were combined - skating at Prahran Bowl, while listening to Beastie Boys on a ghettoblaster. When night fell, you would ask someone over 18 to go buy you a cask of cheap wine, and simply hang around the Prahran Bowl. |
