For most of the year I live in Burnaby a suburb of Vancouver. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is filmed in various parts of the area. When I was in my first year at BCIT I was sitting in the living room watching tv with my roommate Rob when the Housing Manager came in with the Set Designer for the Buffy show. She wanted to know what a typical college student's bedroom looked like and they asked if anyone was willing to show her around. My room looked like ground zero, so naturally I leapt at the chance. There was a 4 ft pile of laundry right in the middle of the floor. My room was so messy I had to walk on the bed to get from one end to the other. It was great. Right on the top of the pile was a mountain of my boxer shorts. She took several pictures.

So it's quite possible that pictures of my room are somewhere in the studio where Buffy is filmed, and just maybe, Sarah Michelle Gellar happened to have seen them and marvelled at my mountain of underwear.

I've only seen the show once, and there wasn't any college rooms in it, so I have no idea if anything remotely similar to my room is in the show :)
