The Royal Navy currently operates only HMS Fearless as a Landing Platform Dock.

However she will be soon replaced by two Albion class LPD's.

An LPD is an amphibious assualt support ship, with internal dock, a flight deck, large transport/storage facilities and a Naval Assualt Command and Control Centre. It also has some defensive weaponary.
